With the sun shining brightly, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon garden party with our friends and volunteers. Special friends from the community included Councillor John Filion and Sarah McCabe from OHS. In his remarks, Councillor John Fillion explained how the garden came to be, and applauded the fact that the garden is a community project that he began, but which has never needed his hands-on involvement to continue. Our guest of honour, Rosemary B., celebrated her 80th birthday with us. Rosemary has been with PNG from the beginning and is a valued member of our PNG family.
While sipping on refreshing beverages which included guava iced tea, elderflower punch and mint flavoured water, we were serenaded with talented garden volunteer musicians playing beautiful selections in the garden and coach house! A wonderful time was had by all! Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope to see you in the garden!
