On a recent Wednesday, volunteer Nan Davey, hosted a group of school-age children from our neighbour across Yonge Street, Gibson House Summer Day Camp. Nan talked about planting and the importance of proper watering, because the kids were going to be planting their own pots with seeds. The children loved the garden and asked many thoughtful questions. Once boy, who was obviously impressed, brought his father and siblings back the following weekend for a closer look. Maybe he’s a future volunteer gardener.
