The first event of the growing season was held on Saturday, May 2 – soil preparation. Although we didn’t get compost delivered during the week by the City as we had hoped, we spent the morning digging weeds out of the garden beds. Volunteers chose a variety of different tools to get the job done, including a manual rototiller/weeder kindly donated by a new volunteer.
